Diane has always been creative.  From painting and drawing to crochet, quilting and photograpy, all pursued as hobbies while raising her young family of four.  During this time, in the late 1990′s, Diane also discovered the internet, Photoshop and the power of the computer as a design tool.  As her family grew, she decided to further her knowledge and pursue a career in art and design by doing a degree course in graphic and multi-media design at Ashford School of Art and Design, part of University of Kent.

During this time, while studying, Diane was able to gain valuable industry experience as a professional digital designer and artist, working as a published artist at Daz 3D creating textures for 3d models.  She also worked as a Digital Designer at Scrap Girls and took on various freelance projects including designing and creating scrapbook style photobooks.

In 2011, Diane decided to truly follow her dream and set up her own online creative business and brand.  Diane Rooney Designs was launched in Summer 2011.  Her focus is the designing and creation of high quality digital, printable paper crafting products and surface pattern design.

As well as developing her own online store, Diane sells her products at USA company, Happy To Create, and has recently been taken on as a digital designer for Daisy Trail Craft Company in the UK.

Diane lives with her artist husband in the south-east England.
