Hello and Happy September! It's one of my favourite times of the year. Summer slowing down, a slight change of light as the Autumn starts to peak around the corner. And that feeling you get with a New Year. Kids going back to school, routines back to normal and time to make plans for a new Season.
This Summer hasn't been so great this year, where I live, in terms of the weather. Strangely, I was thinking, a couple of weeks ago, how lovely it would be to have an Indian Summer this year and it inspired me to create my latest colour palette. And then suddenly we’ve had a few days of unusually warm weather!
How lovely are these colours?! What do you think of them? Traditionally, an Indian Summer is when we have a few days of warm weather after the first frost of the season. The colours are softer, more muted and moving towards those lovely Autumn colours.
I hope this new colour palette inspires you. I've taken some of my previous patterns and re-coloured them to give you some ideas of how the colours work together. Whether it inspires a new quilt or helps you when shopping for fabric or whatever creative project you're working on, I hope it helps you somehow. I was actually thinking how lovely they would look as crochet granny blocks. I hope you enjoy this palette and it inspires you in your creative projects.
I’ve provided the RGB colour hex codes for those of you who would like them. These hex codes are primarily for websites + digital applications such as image/graphics software. Right click to download and save the image to your computer.
